REPROGRAMING THE MIND FOR EVOLUTION

Reprogramming the Mind for Evolution

Reprogramming the Mind for Evolution

How to Actively Participate in your own Personal Evolution

For a long time we’ve been taught that evolution is a process that is happening to us. Thankfully we’re living in times where the human race is finally getting a grasp on the fact that we’re actually actively involved in how we evolve as a species.
As humans, our bodies are constantly changing in response to the environment around us. Our muscles change according to whether we choose to use them or not. The enzymes in our digestive system change in response to the foods we choose to eat. Our endocrine system is in a constant feedback loop with our emotions which can change dramatically according to what’s happening in the world around us. As Dr Bruce Liptonput it, “the cell is a carbon-based ‘computer chip’ that reads the environment”, and the field of epigenetics teaches us that our DNA changes in quality – again, according to our environment.
When science talks about ‘environmental influence’ it seems to imply ‘all that which is outside ourselves’. It’s easy to overlook the fact that that our conscious choices about which environmental factors we engage with are part of what shapes the way our bodies restructure. We are part of the environment that influences our own development; our free will lets us choose and change the environment. We participate in our own evolution during our lifetime and what we do in our own lives can also affect future generations. In this way, personal evolution is collective evolution, and nowhere is personal evolution more apparent than how we are capable of rewiring our own brain.

How Reprogramming the Mind Is Helpful To Us

Humans work really well with routines. We repeat the same pattern over and over, and through neuroplasticity our brain wires itself so that it doesn’t have to think too much about that task anymore, it just runs that established electrical pathway. To riff off Noel Burch, it’s like when we learn to drive a car: we move from unconscious incompetence ‘I don’t know how bad at this I’m going to be’; to conscious competence ‘I now know how bad I am at this’; to conscious competence ‘OK, I can do this but I have to keep my mind on the job’; to unconscious competence ‘I can wind the window down, change the radio, turn a corner and change gears all at the same time, without even thinking about it’.
We program ourselves all the time with repetition, so we don’t have to waste energy engaging isolated focus on every task. The question is whether these are routines we are choosing for ourselves or that have been imposed on us? If they are imposed, are they helpful to us both personally and as a species?

When Are We Most Easily Able To Wire And Re-wire Our Mind?

During early childhood our brains are wiring themselves for the first time. While this process slows after the intense surge of development in first few years, our brains are still establishing the wiring we will largely use for the rest of our life throughout childhood. When we hit our teenage years we experience the second surge of new wiring and there is an opportunity for patterns to be created during this time that can setup behaviours for years to come. After this period, neuroplasticity still occurs but it just isn’t as fluid as it was before. So you can teach an old dog new tricks, it’s just a slower process.
The problem here is that our subconscious is overhearing everything our conscious mind is hearing, and is therefore to a being programmed by whatever influence we’re being exposed to. The Jesuits knew this 400 years ago. They would boast:
“Give me a child until it’s seven, it will belong to the church for the rest of its life.’”
– Dr Bruce Lipton, paraphrasing Jesuit priests.

We Are Always Programming Ourselves

I like to imagine the subconscious mind is like an autopilot system. It is overhearing everything we ever think or say, and it’s mission (in the background and whenever possible) is to guide us towards whatever we want… or at least whatever it thinks we want according to what it overhears. An extra level of challenge is introduced when we imagine that the conscious mind has the capacity for judgment its higher expression – discernment. The subconscious, however, doesn’t have that ability. When it is overhearing everything you think and every word you say it simply hears the topic, not the context. ‘I don’t want to be fat’ with the judgment of ‘I don’t want’ removed becomes the topic only: ‘be fat’. The subconscious ‘overhears’ the topic of what is active in your conscious mind and it is listening for repetition. This is how it figures out for how ready we need to be for that particular thought process.

Repetition Is The Key. Repetition Is The Key.

If we lift weights we are using repetition to say to the muscles, ‘be ready for this, we may need to do this at any moment, so restructure yourself’. Scientists have found the fastest way to get fit is to do interval sprints, which is basically a physical way of saying to the body through repetition ‘you need to restructure yourself so we can sprint at top speed at any time, at the drop of a hat’. Rest, get your breath back and sprint again, over and over. This repetition tells the body that it’s a high priority to restructure and be ready for this at all times. My observation is that the same appears to be true for our brain. When our subconscious overhears our thoughts and words and there is repetition, there is an increased likelihood of neural rewiring. After all – neurons that fire together wire together.

The path of least resistance

When attempting to re-wire an old habit or behaviour pattern, it is useful to remember the old adage from high school science: electricity follows the path of least resistance. Imagine the old pattern as a well-established electrical pathway in your brain. As you put conscious focus into creating a new electrical pathway to replace the old pattern, you make that new electrical pathway fatter. As soon as you stop putting conscious focus into running the new behaviour pattern the electricity will revert to the old cable for as long as it is the fatter of the two cables, as that is the path of least resistance. As soon as the day comes when the new electrical pathway is thicker than the old one you have a new program in your autopilot system, that will now run on it’s own without you needing to focus conscious intention on it. You have reached a level of conscious competence. According to Dan Coyle a key to making the consciously chosen wiring stick is holding the intention that ‘I want to know this for the rest of my life’. Coyle suggests this causes the brain to coat the new electrical pathway in the brain with myelin insulation, making it much more permanent.

Taking care with the programs we allow our subconscious to overhear

As stated earlier, our autopilot system is taking direction from everything you’re experiencing – which includes the media we watch, the people we surround ourselves with and more. For this reason, one of the most powerful things we can do is exercise discernment around the kind of experiences we expose ourselves to, and their level of intensity and repetition.
“It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men.”
– Frederick Douglass
More importantly is the need for extra care in exercising this discernment on behalf of the children in our care and teaching this discernment to teenagers as, in both cases they are in a heightened state of neuroplasticity and are more susceptible to influence. To be clear, I am by no means advocating prudishness or avoidance of the truth, just a higher level of awareness of how we are either consciously or inadvertently being programmed all the time.
In the video below Bruce Lipton speaks passionately on this very subject, citing this discernment on behalf of our children as a clear solution to war and conflict.

CANNABIS RUDERALIS

What is Cannabis Ruderalis?

Many cannabis consumers and laypeople are familiar with sativa and indica, the two species (or sub-species, for those keeping score) that compose the dual world of marijuana. Sativas, the more rare species, convey an uplifting, energetic, and euphoric high that is good for those suffering fromdepression and PTSD, whereas the more common indica delivers a solid body buzz, pain relief, and the munchies and is good for insomniaarthritis, and those undergoing cancer treatment.
What many don’t realize is that there’s a third cannabis cousin typically not considered by patients and cultivators: Ruderalis. Hailing from Central and Southeastern Russia, this variety produces poor yields and contains little THC, giving it no value on the black market. It can be found today throughout China and Russia.
Ruderalis is the most hardy type of cannabis, however, able to withstand conditions in the northern Himalayas region and southern states of the former Soviet Union that would kill sativa and indica strains. The word “ruderalis” is derived from “ruderal,” a botanical term used to describe hardy, non-domesticated plants, including weeds.

Cannabis ruderalis was first discovered in 1924 by Russian botanist D.E. Janischevsky, who was studying cannabis along the Volga River. What makes ruderalis special is its ability to autoflower. Unlike sativa and indica strains, which require a change in light cycles to bring on the flowering stage of the plant, ruderalis needs no such illuminatory nudging. It does not grow wild at latitudes south of 50 degrees north of the equator.

Good Source of CBD

The recent focus on tinctures and other medical cannabis preparations high in CBD and low in THC — perfect for treating conditions like childhood epilepsy — has renewed the focus of many gardeners on ruderalis. Strains low in THC are being embraced for their ability to deliver the efficacy of cannabis without the psychoactivity provided by THC.
According to celebrated California cannabis author and entrepreneur Ed Rosenthal:
“The high from ruderalis is more of a zoom that quickly descends into a headache. Hybrids and cross breeding, on the other hand, often produce a very respectable high.”
Although many label ruderalis a species or sub-species of cannabis, a 2005 study found little genetic justification for considering this odd man out of the marijuana world a separate species. Some researchers and breeders believe ruderalis to itself be an ancient hybrid of indica and sativa genetics.

More Common Than You Think

Cannabis cultivators have for years been using ruderalis strains for the creation of hybrids that grow fast and autoflower. Ruderalis plants are also typically short and stocky, sometimes making them more practical and discreet for indoor gardens. If done properly, hybrid strains containing some ruderalis genetics can offer many of the best characteristics of a sativa or indica strain combined with a solid amount of CBD and faster growth.
Today, large farms of ruderalis plants can be found in central and eastern Europe, the Himalayas, and the former Soviet Union for the production of hemp. Ruderalis is also believed to be more resistant to infestation by insects and a variety of diseases.

Popular Ruderalis Strains

Popular strains that are hybrids composed of at least some ruderalis include:
  • LowRyder (LowRider)
  • Ruderalis Skunk
  • Easy Ryder
  • Fast Haze
  • White Express
  • Speed Ryder
  • Quick Fruit
  • Low Diesel
While these strains may not appear on the top shelf of your local dispensary, cultivators are increasingly attracted to ruderalis hybrids for their medicinal efficacy and low THC content. Typically, ruderalis strains are bred with indicas to increase their THC content and yield while maintaining the plant’s relatively rapid growth, high CBD content, and short, thick phenotype.
Although rarely mentioned, cannabis breeders should consider the use of ruderalis strains paired with indica varieties to create powerful new medicines for both recreational and medical use.

THE SPIRITUAL MEANING OF COLORS

The Spiritual Meaning Of Colors

Why are we attracted to specific colors and what do they mean spiritually?

Visible Light Frequencies

According to David Icke, we are only capable of seeing a limited range of colors and we are unable to see the frequency range beyond visible light. Icke believes that certain races of extraterrestrial beings called Reptilians operate on a different frequency outside visible light and manipulate our current reality through Illuminati families.

Colors Beyond The Veil
Through Near Death Experiences, we have heard numerous times about people who temporarily passed on to the other side and upon their return, have stated that they saw various indescribable colors that we are unable to see within our current light frequency.

Photoreceptor Cells

Many people believe that dogs can only see in black and white, but  the truth is, they can see limited colors as they only have approximately 20% of the cone photoreceptor cells that humans have. Photoreceptor cells are the part of the eye that controls our perception of color.

Chakras

Our bodies have seven energy receptors of life force and prana called chakras.  Each chakra vibrates and responds to a different color.  The word, chakra, is Sanskrit and means “wheel” or “turning, but in yogic context, chakra means ‘vortex’ or ‘whirlpool’.
In her book, True Balance, by Sonia Choquette, she mentions how to use the color green if you are sad or depressed.  A non-spiritualdescription of this color is often associated with envy (as in green with envy) but Choquette advises to go outside in nature and observe all of the ‘green’ around you because through nature and the predominance of the color green, it will lift your spirits.
When the heart center is balanced, we actually establish energetic resonance with others, entering into a common vibration. We’ve all had these spontaneous heart-based connections, such as when we encounter someone we instantly like or feel as though we’ve known in the past. The Universe is a hologram aware of all of its parts at all times, and when we move into our heart chakra, we shift into this holographic vibration. This allows the Universe to fill any void that we may be experiencing in our life, giving us exactly what we need, brining us our heart’s desire.
Your lower three chakras govern your physical drives and urges in this 3rd dimensional reality while the upper four chakras are more spiritual in nature.  In order to clearly access the upper four chakras, one needs to work on his or her lower three chakras through ‘chakra clearing’.
I have several Himalayan Salt Lamps which exude an orangish-yellow color and help to keep my lower chakras in balance while eliminating negative ions within a specific range of my lamps.  My daughter has a slight case of asthma which is immediately eradicated when she’s near her Himalayan salt lamp. When lit, the color of the Himalayan Salt Lamp strongly resonates with your sacral and solar plexus chakras.

Honoring The Elements

Many indigenous cultures not only honor all aspects of life, but directions as well.  Each direction of north, south, east and west have a corresponding element and color:

Auras

While some people may be able to pass a lie detector test, your aura will never lie. According to wiki, the aura is “a field of subtle, luminous radiation surrounding a person”.
You can learn how to see your aura here: How to See Your Aura: Tips and Tricks!
The colors of your aura reflect the same colors as your chakras.  For example, if your aura is red, orange or yellow, it shows that there are some physical, mental or sexual areas in your life that need addressing. Once your lower root chakras are balanced, you’ll begin seeing an aura that will be green, blue, indigo or violet, which correspond to the heart, throat, 3rd eye and crown chakra.  While many people will have differing opinions on the ideal aura color, it is this writer’s opinion that green shows the most balance.  Please keep in mind that there are no “bad” aura colors as each color has a lesson to teach us about ourselves.
For more on what each aura color means, please see: How to Read Auras: What is the Meaning of Each Color?

The colors you use in every day life, whether they are in the clothes you’re wearing right now, the color of your car or even the color you painted your walls, can tell a lot about you.

GOOD VIBRATIONS AND HEALING FREQUENCIES

Good Vibrations and the Song of Din

Waking Times
Dear Humans,
Today I wish to return to your awareness an aspect of the Human condition so ubiquitous that virtually every cell in the body is governed by the influence. The aspect I speak of is the photo-stimulated resonance of protein molecules within cellular boundaries. Like strings of a harp, these molecular structures vibrate in an enigmatic manner that has long been speculated but only recently observed.
The protein molecules within every cell are not the quiet, static little structures one might assume. They are not soft or mushy either. The unique structure of protein molecules are an epitome of design, capable of sustained resonance and vibrate in accordance to their own… song.
This magnificent symphony, however impressive in scale, remains essentially silent to the ear. I suppose it would be reasonable to assume that if one could actually hear (the din within) it could prove a bit uncomfortable. But I have my own take on this matter which I’ll touch upon in a moment.

Ringing of a Bell

That’s how the lead researcher described the results observed recently when analyzing the vibration of a protein molecule. The team, headed by Professor Andrea Markelz from the University at Buffalo, was able to detect rapid, tiny movements of the molecule and compared its sustained resonance to the “ringing of a bell.”
Her research team determined that protein molecules would vibrate at the same light frequency they were absorbing, and like a wine glass in a room with an opera singer, the molecules would resonate when struck by the right frequency and intensity. This action allows the protein molecule to move in a precise manner and perform a great number of functions, including DNAreplication.

Light of the Strand

But where does the light come from? The exposed surface of the skin receives a great deal of light so that is clearly one source. Sunlight frequencies change throughout the day and throughout the seasons. Different frequencies will stimulate different proteins and in different ways. Many of the light frequencies go beyond the visible spectrum and will offer varying degrees of influence and penetration. Be mindful of this and allow yourself a wide spectrum of light frequencies throughout the year.
Deeper tissues might rely on a different source of illumination. Is there light in the darkest regions of the body? Past studies have validated the presence of light (referred to as biophoton emission) in the DNA molecule. It’s a narrow leap of logic to suggest that perhaps a good deal of light/protein interface happens by way of biophotonic interaction at the molecular level.

Rife machineRife’s Beam Ray and the Healing Frequency

The ability to now observe the vibrating nature of proteins should open some old doors with renewed vigor. Back in the 1930’s, Dr. Royal Rife, the American inventor of the high-intensity Rife microscope purportedly found a way to use light frequency to neutralize and reverse the effects of cancer and many other disease causing conditions. Rife stated that his “beam ray” device could weaken or destroy pathogens by “energetically exciting destructive resonances in their constituent chemicals. This was accomplished by transducing light frequency into a corresponding ultrasonic resonance.” In other words, Dr. Rife used vibrations.
Rife was able to demonstrate that different types of cells have their own electromagnetic signature based on its unique genetic and chemical makeup. He suggested that viruses, bacteria, and parasites are particularly sensitive to their specific bio-frequencies and could be destroyed by intensifying those frequencies until the cell fragmentized. Once again, the wine glass analogy sort of fits.
Though largely discredited and criticized by a biased academic community and the AMA, Dr. Rife’s technology and research dovetails with recent developments regarding light-stimulated protein activation.

The Sound of Silence

If one were to remove the sounds of the outside world they would eventually begin to hear some of the inner workings of their body such as heartbeat, respiration and maybe even a high frequency din. The (din-within) can tell a great deal of how the body is feeling and operating.
Clinicians are often quick to point out that the high-pitch resonance is associated with low-level hearing damage. They seem to dismiss any suggestion that this sound just might be (in part) the song of the body. Sometimes people become overly aware of this sound and it can become a conscious nuisance. But just as a good car mechanic can isolate a problem with an engine by listening, so can you. We can learn to acclimate to our “normal” sound and be mindful of any changes.

White Noise

What is it about the sound of a blowing fan that helps so many relax and go to sleep? What about the sound of ocean waves?  How about a tumbling dryer? For some it’s even the din of the city- the hustle and bustle of a busy street streaming into an open urban window.
Individual sounds are somehow lost in the cacophony of noise of the big city. This level of saturation can allow a resting mind to relax and not hone in on any particular sound.
These sounds offer a sort of counter pressure to the sounds within. For my take, the sound of the blowing fan mimics (to some extent) the song of din and the vibrations of the body. When a certain balance is achieved, the body begins to feel calm and relaxed.

Final Thought

In December of 1966 a band known as the Beach Boys released a song called “Good Vibrations.” The unusual, high-pitched sound in this song was produced by using an instrument called a Theremin, which produces an energetic field that one must wave their hand over to change the oscillation and pitch. No touching necessary. It’s seems uncanny that a song about “vibrations” would incorporate a device of this nature. The song was admittedly “LSD” inspired and somehow transcended consciousness and resonated with millions of people. After nearly fifty years, Good Vibrations remains popular, iconic and incomparable.
Dear Humans, you are tuned to a number of frequencies and every cell of your body oscillates in an ocean of vibration. When you harmonize with another the frequencies comingle in a beneficial way. These “good vibrations” amplify and lift your mood and stimulate wellbeing. Be mindful of these frequencies and minimize exposure to those things that take this energy from you.
There are “energy sponges” that will unknowingly (and sometimes knowingly) subdue this vibration. This is not a question of good or evil but rather an issue of harmonic compatibility. It would not be my recommendation for one to stay in an environment of “bad vibes” any longer than what is absolutely necessary.
Vibrations are fun to play with and musicians know only too well just how profound their energetic impacts can be.
So having said all that, I’d like to wish you all “good, good, good, -good vibrations.”
